More people listening; I did say this was one of my favourite subjects. These two gentlemen were enjoying a street hip-hop concert by loop-crazy busker group Mr Woodnote. They stood there for a long time, commenting between songs on the technology that allowed the sax player to turn his instrument into an entire band.
I’m in two minds about this picture, actually. I like the emotional weight, the expressions on their faces, the matching hat and jacket of Lonsdale man… But does the shallow depth of field really work to this capture’s advantage? Where do we stand on square crops? Is the guy on his mobile in the background too much of a distraction? For reference, here’s the other shot that I considered for this post.
