This was not taken in the wild, I’m afraid; but it wasn’t a zoo, either. The bird looks so suspicious because its falconer has just stopped feeding it, and it was trying to sneak a look in his bag to see if there was any raw pheasant meat left in there.The falconry display was great, and the man was clearly passionate about his occupation, but I was especially impressed with how expressive the bird’s features were. For something basically made our of a beak and some feathers, it sure could display a wide range of emotions.
